株式会社ユーグレナは、当社とともに持続可能な未来をつくっていく18歳以下のCFO（Chief Future Officer：最高未来責任者、以下「CFO」）の新規募集を、2023年10月15日（日）まで行っています※。今回のCFO募集にあたり、エントリーを検討されている方向けに英語でのCFO募集説明会を2023年9月21日（木）12時に開催します。

Tokyo, 15 September 2023 - Euglena Co., Ltd. (Euglena) has opened its call for a new Chief Future Officer (CFO) under 18 years old to create a sustainable future until Sunday, October 15, 2023. An online explanation session for those who are interested in applying for the CFO position will be held in English on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at noon.

■18歳以下のCFO導入の経緯とこれまで
当社は、ユーグレナ・フィロソフィーとして「Sustainability First（サステナビリティ・ファースト）」を掲げ、健康寿命の延伸を支えるヘルスケア事業や、気候変動の解決を目指すバイオ燃料事業、循環型農業を目指すサステナブルアグリテック事業、バングラデシュでのソーシャルビジネスなど、サステナビリティを軸にさまざまな事業を展開しています。
会社として持続可能な未来をつくっていくためには、その未来の当事者である世代が会社に参加するべきであるという考えのもと、2019年に18歳以下限定でCFOのポジションを設置し、今回の募集で第4期となります。歴代CFOからの提言は、気候変動やウェルビーイング、ポストSDGsを見据えての取り組みなど、当社でのサステナビリティに関する議論をけん引し、経営判断の一つとなっています。

■Background and History of CFO
With "Sustainability First" as our corporate Philosophy, we are developing various businesses based on sustainability, including a healthcare business that supports the extension of healthy life expectancy, a biofuel business that aims to solve climate change, a sustainable agri-tech business that aims for circular agriculture, and social business in Bangladesh.
Based on the idea that in order to create a sustainable future as a company, the generation that will be the central player of the future should participate in the company’s decision making, and in 2019 we established the position of CFO for those under 18 years old. This call for CFO marks the 4th term. Recommendations from past CFOs have drived discussions on sustainability at our company, including climate change, well-being, and post-SDGs initiatives, and have become part of our management decisions.

募集期間：2023年9月1日（金）〜10月15日（日）
条件：年齢 - 18歳以下
任期 - 1年間活動できること（2024年2月〜2025年1月）※状況に応じて変更の可能性あり

■Entry Details for CFO and Future Summit Members
Application period: Friday, September 1, 2023 - Sunday, October 15, 2023
Eligibility: Age - 18 or younger
Term of office - Must be able to work for one year (February 2024 - January 2025)
*Subject to change depending on circumstances
The qualities of CFO and Future Summit members we are looking for:
・Willingness to create social impact with Euglena.
・Future-oriented.
・Those who can team up with the CFO and Future Summit members to advance the project.
