北京にある清華大学の全額奨学金修士プログラム「シュワルツマン・スカラーズ」と株式会社エイチラボは、2023年5月20日（土）15時〜17時に、大学生・社会人を対象としたイベントを、対面/オンラインのハイブリッド型で実施いたします。シュワルツマン・スカラーズのスタッフと奨学生等を迎え、パネルディスカッションとレセプションを通じて、修士プログラムについてのみならず、外交やコミュニティ等、様々なテーマで参加者同士が活発に議論できる場を提供いたします。

概要

株式会社エイチラボ（本社・東京都世田谷区、代表理事・小林亮介、以下HLAB）とシュワルツマン・スカラーズは、このたび2023年5月20日に、大学生・社会人を対象としたイベントを実施いたします。（オンライン・対面のハイブリッド企画）

シュワルツマン・スカラーズとは、世界的な名声を有するローズ奨学金（オックスフォード大）をモデルに、アジア・ヨーロッパ・アメリカをはじめ、政治や経済、国際関係の分野で世界のリーダーを育成することを目的として、清華大学（北京）に設立された1年間の英語による全額奨学金付きの修士プログラムです。日本人奨学生12名（2023年4月時点、卒業予定者含む）を、今まで輩出してきました。

近年の不安定な世界情勢や地政学的な状況に対応するための、グローバルな人材育成の場であるシュワルツマン・スカラーズに、日本からも未来のリーダーが多く参加することを期待しています。
今回は、より多くの日本人の皆様にシュワルツマン・スカラーズを知っていただき、また、次世代を担う皆さんと共にコロナ禍後の世界情勢や社会について共に議論し、交流できるイベントを、シュワルツマン・スカラーズとHLABのパートナーシップにより、実施します。


シュワルツマン・スカラーズのスタッフと奨学生等を迎え、パネルディスカッションとレセプションを通じて、修士プログラムについてのみならず、外交やコミュニティ等、様々なテーマで参加者同士が活発に議論できる場を提供いたします。

・参加資格：
どなたでもご参加いただけますが、イベントは主に大学生や若手の社会人の方（現時点で27歳以下の方）に向けての内容となります。（※シュワルツマン・スカラーズは、28歳以下のみ参加可能であるため。）


「シュワルツマン・スカラーズ」とは？

シュワルツマン・スカラーズは、21世紀の新しい政治経済状況に対応しうる、次世代のグローバルリーダーの育成を目的とした奨学金付きの大学院プログラムです。清華大学（北京）において、1年間の全額奨学金付きの修士プログラムを提供しています。入学後、奨学生は、Leadership（リーダーシップ）、Global Affairs（世界情勢）、China（中国）の3つの柱のコアカリキュラムを通じて、修士号を獲得します。国際的に著名な大学の教授陣から指導の他、世界的オピニオンリーダーによるゲスト講義を受ける機会もあります。授業以外では、インターンシップ、メンター、著名な講演者を通じて、世界と中国に触れる特別な機会が得られます。

応募資格：シュワルツマン・スカラーズは、世界の次世代リーダーを代表する優秀な応募者を求めています。国籍に関係なく、英語に堪能で学士号を取得済の18歳から28歳までの学生および若手社会人を対象としています。今季は、2023年9月19日（米国東部標準時）締切となります。

HLABとは？

HLABは「ピア・メンターシップ」の理念の下、既存の学問的コンテンツによる学びだけではなく、「人」から学び、「ピア」から刺激を受けて学び続けるための革新的な体験や空間、そしてコミュニティを設計しています。2011年より寮生活を再現したサマースクール事業を開始、毎年全国4箇所で開催し、のべ3,000名以上の高校生・大学生が参加しました。2016年から長期的な居住を目的としたレジデンシャル・カレッジ（教育寮）事業を開始し、2020年に下北沢（東京都）に100人規模が衣食住を共にするSHIMOKITA COLLEGEを開校しました。

Introduction

HLAB, Inc. (headquartered in Setagaya-City, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ryosuke Kobayashi) and Schwarzman Scholars are pleased to announce an event for university students and young professionals on May 20, 2023.

Schwarzman Scholars is a one-year, fully funded scholarship established at Tsinghua University (Beijing), modeled after the world-renowned Rhodes Scholarship (Oxford University), with the aim of fostering world leaders in fields such as politics, economics, international relations, business, science, and technology. The program is a one-year, fully-funded Master's degree program. There have been 12 Japanese scholars so far (as of April 2023, including those who are expected to graduate).

This year, Schwarzman Scholars and HLAB are partnering to hold an event where more Japanese people can learn about Schwarzman Scholars. We will welcome a panel of Scholars to discuss with the next generation about the global situation and society after the pandemic. Schwarzman Scholars staff, scholars, and others will participate in a panel discussion and reception to provide a forum for lively discussion on a variety of topics, including diplomacy and community, as well as the Master's of Global Affairs for leadership development.

What is “Schwarzman Scholars”?

Schwarzman Scholars is an unparalleled graduate program, designed to ready the next generation of leaders to drive change. It is anchored in a fully-funded 10-month Master’s Degree in Global Affairs at Beijing’s Tsinghua University. The experience encompasses unique opportunities in and outside the classroom, providing Scholars with extensive leadership training, a network of senior mentors, opportunities to engage in high-level interactions with Chinese leaders and visiting speakers, optional internships, career development guidance, and travel seminars around China. Scholars learn about China’s importance on the global stage through a rigorous and dynamic core curriculum, delivered by world-class faculty and guest speakers. Schwarzman Scholars readies young leaders for careers in which they will join a growing alumni network of leaders who are working to foster dialogue and build global understanding.

Eligibility: Schwarzman Scholars is seeking high-caliber applicants who will represent the world’s next generation of leaders. The program is open to students and young professionals between the ages of 18 and 28 years old, regardless of nationality, who are proficient in English and have obtained an undergraduate degree. For the next cohort, this unparalleled opportunity will begin in Beijing in August 2024 at Schwarzman College.

What is “HLAB”?

HLAB designs innovative experiences, spaces, and communities where students learn not only from existing academic content, but also from people, through which students are inspired by their peers. In 2011, HLAB launched a summer school program that replicates dormitory life, held at four locations across Japan each year, with a total of more than 3,000 high school and university students participating. In 2016, HLAB started a residential college (educational dormitory) business for long-term residence, and in 2021, HLAB opened SHIMOKITA COLLEGE in Shimokitazawa (Tokyo), where 100 students will share their daily lives. In 2020, the company opened SHIMOKITA COLLEGE in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.
